TOSHULIN, a global manufacturer of machine tools, collaborated with mySCADA on a pilot project for their flagship EXPERTURN 1600C machine tool — adding data collection, modern visualization, and remote access. The result delivered a rare competitive advantage in the machine tools market and laid the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership.
TOSHULIN required a solution for their EXPERTURN 1600C that would collect and log outputs from the existing control system for later analysis and processing, provide a modern visualization interface, and enable remote access capability — all without disrupting ongoing production. Adding visualization was both a strategic and sales decision: TOSHULIN aimed to provide new features delivering time and cost savings to their customers while increasing their own market differentiation.
mySCADA deployed its software and hardware platform on the EXPERTURN 1600C to capture outputs from TOSHULIN's existing control system. A modern data visualization interface was added, providing real-time operational insight and historical data logging. Full remote connectivity was enabled for off-site monitoring and diagnostics. This represented the first collaboration in what both parties intended as a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship, with mySCADA becoming an integral part of TOSHULIN's machine tool offering.
